Note: To try the method in this article, you need a Mac and a device capable of playing audio through Chromecast.
I usually enjoy music and videos with Google Home and Chromecast Ultra, but sometimes I want to listen to the songs stored in iTunes.
Of course, you can play them on your iPhone or Mac, but I found it inconvenient that while YouTube, Netflix, and even Amazon Prime Video support Chromecast, iTunes songs cannot be played on my usual speakers.
Is there a way to cast iTunes songs to Chromecast? I discovered software called Castbridge, that makes it possible! 🎉

To install, simply extract the downloaded image and copy the app inside to your Mac’s Applications folder. This is a familiar step for any Mac user.
After opening the Applications folder on your Mac and double-clicking the Castbridge icon, you can select it from the Music app on your iPhone. All devices shown under SPEAKERS & TVs are Chromecast devices.
It’s amazingly simple.
However, it doesn’t support video. Even if you play a music video and cast it to Chromecast Ultra, only the audio plays while the cover art appears on the screen. The photo has been blurred to hide the room, but in reality the cover art and song title are shown clearly.
Song titles in Japanese and other multibyte characters are also displayed. Mosaic applied.
When using AirPlay from iTunes on a Mac, you can select multiple speakers at once, and with Castbridge you can also play songs on multiple devices simultaneously, through with a slight delay.
If you live in a large house, you can set up Google Homes and Chromecast Ultras throughout your home and play the same song everywhere! As someone living in a small apartment, I went ahead and paid $9.99.
You can also pay with PayPal, so it’s safe if you don’t want to enter your credit card information on a website you’re using for the first time. After purchase, you’ll receive a serial key by email, which you can enter through the Castbridge registration menu.
It seems that not only the serial key but also your name and email address are linked, so when paying with PayPal you need to enter the email address and name associated with your PayPal account.
